We're Movin' on Up!

Who knew that the hinterland has the fastest executive track in the country?!?! After 15 minutes of her first day of work, the wife became the highest executive at the place she works. You may be thinking, "hmm, I never realized that she was that capable and/or competent. " If you thought those things, you may be right. You can file this "promotion" under "demotion of everyone else at the Idaho house of horrors." Here is how a "promotion by demotion" works.

First, arrive for first day of work.

Second, show up to a meeting and realize you're the only one there. Sit around like a dumbass for about 20 minutes.

Third, be informed by "corporate" that the Idaho plant boss has been fired.

Four, shit.

Five, be informed that the Director of Nursing was given the axe.

Six, become boss with longest tenure (15 minutes) at the plant and find out it is your mission to change the "culture" of the agency. After all, you know the culture so well after 15 minutes.

Seven, plan escape from plant every minute of every day that you stay there.

Eight, realize that your spaceship has crashed and there is no escape. In your best Charleton Heston, scream "God Damn You. God Damn You all to hell (and your damn dog fur coats and sweaters)." (Heston, 1968)
